Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 June 2026
1. The agreement
By downloading or using SonicSeal (the "Software"), you agree to these Terms of Use. The Software is provided by Adelio Falcó Martí ("we", "us") based in Alicante, Spain.
2. Editions and license grant
SonicSeal is licensed, not sold. SonicSeal is distributed in two editions:
- Mac App Store Edition (Pro tier only): a paid-up-front application sold on the Mac App Store at €79,99 (one-time purchase). Governed by Apple's Standard EULA, which supersedes these Terms for App Store installs. The Apple ID that purchased the app may install it on Macs personally owned or controlled by the same individual, subject to Apple's policy.
- Direct License Edition (DMG, via Gumroad): sold via gumroad.com. Activation is performed offline by pasting an Ed25519-signed license block delivered by email after purchase. Tiers are described below.
Direct License Edition tiers
- Pro · €79 one-time: 1 seat, 1 Mac. Designed for solo DJs and producers. WAV / MP3 / AIFF / FLAC support. Unlimited sealing & forensic.
- Label · €399 one-time: Up to 3 seats, multi-Mac inside a single legal entity. Unlimited buyer tags, centralized buyer registry, forensic export to PDF.
- Studio · €1,499 one-time: Up to 10 seats, multi-Mac inside a single legal entity. Multi-label tagging, priority email support, custom buyer-tag prefixes.
- Vendor · €4,999 / year: SDK B2B integration license (Python / C/C++ / TypeScript), build-attestation API, NDA + technical annex, dedicated onboarding, engineering email support. Annual renewal required to keep SDK access active.
All Direct License Edition tiers except Vendor include 12 months of free updates from the date of purchase. After the 12-month window the Software continues to work indefinitely on the last released version within that window.
3. Permitted use
- You may watermark audio files you own or have explicit rights to.
- You may store and process buyer-tag metadata locally on your Mac.
- You may use the Software for commercial and non-commercial projects within the limits of your tier.
4. Prohibited use
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Ed25519 verification logic, except where allowed by mandatory EU law (e.g., interoperability under Article 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC).
- Do not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share your Direct License Edition activation block publicly.
- Do not use SonicSeal to watermark content you do not own or have rights to distribute.
- Do not install on more Macs than your tier allows.
5. Updates
Mac App Store Edition: updates are delivered through the Mac App Store while the application remains available on the store, at no additional cost.
Direct License Edition (Pro / Label / Studio): 12 months of free updates from the purchase date. After that window the Software continues to work indefinitely on the latest version released within the window. There is no recurring charge and no in-app purchase.
Vendor tier: annual subscription. Renewal grants continued SDK updates and support; without renewal the existing build keeps working but no further updates are provided.
6. Refunds
- Mac App Store Edition: Apple controls all App Store refunds. Request via reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Direct License Edition (Gumroad): 30-day no-questions-asked refund per Gumroad's standard policy.
7. Disclaimer of warranty
SONICSEAL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE THAT WATERMARKED AUDIO WILL SURVIVE EVERY POSSIBLE FORM OF COMPRESSION, RE-RECORDING, OR ATTACK. SONICSEAL IS A FORENSIC TOOL, NOT A LEAK-PROOF SHIELD.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the Software is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, leaked tracks, or damaged reputation.
This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under Spanish or EU law (e.g., gross negligence, willful misconduct).
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Alicante, Spain, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your country of residence.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms when the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page (see "Last updated" date above) and via email to Direct License Edition holders.
